I would say that Glover is a great asset , he did very well last night, battled hard and did what he was asked to do… I was expecting Schofield to come on (think he was on the bench?) but I think with both of these lads we have good options and as with all of our players they give 110% when called upon.
They will both be very important if any of our lads get injured as they are both versatile playing in midfield or at the back.
Rory was outstanding in the first half last night, a great signing + im looking forward to Joe Shaw returning as he looked class in pre season.
As mentioned above, we need to ensure we don’t get complacent now, we have had 2 big big wins but there won’t be any easy games and we need to keep this momentum going.
Worksop anyone? Think the lads deserve another big turnout after last nights performance! bowdown
Full backs who not only defend but get forward and score and set up attacks are a great thing to have in the modern game, we do have that on either side.
Massively proud of the team’s performance and the fans last night. It never ceases to amaze me how often we out-sing the opposition although it wasn’t difficult at Chorley. By the way, our fans showed great restraint after a home-supporter ‘child’ chucked an empty bottle of beer at our stand during the second half. Had a fight ensued, the U16s guilty of the original offence would have been battered and one or more of our supporters potentially arrested and charged. I think someone from the club should mention the incident to Chorley FC. The little chav group of about 20 were hanging around outside the ground too looking for trouble.
Anyway, superb start to the season - hats off to Brian Pritchard, Mose etc, for getting the lads ready and playing for each other and us, the fans, again.
Is Glover starting to graduate from bit-part player to an integral part of the squad? Pritch obviously places huge trust in him by asking him to fill such a vital role last night (think he filled a similar role at Warrington last season?).

I had a chat with Nige Deeley at a recent ‘The Levellers’ gig at Anderton Boat Lift and he said to me that Glover was a player which Witton had to keep on their books, he believes that he has a great future at the club.

We should’ve sang come back when your balls have dropped.
Agreed though, restraint was the best option, no need for getting the club in trouble, especially after the announcement in Saturday’s programme re Curzon.
All the headlines coming out of the club are great at the moment, and ther’es no need for any of us to turn it the other way.
Great support last night, sounds like it’ll be repeated on Saturday if the coach is a 49 seater guinness
Also hope it wasn’t lost on the home and neutral support the universal applause from behind the goal when their captain got to his feet after falling awkwardly :clap - contrast this to when Gards went down and the banal shouts and comments coming from the home side’s terraces nono
Have been on Hols and catching the results on me mobile, unbelievable superb magnificenrt start to this season in the prem!!! Well done to all, words just can’t say really COME ON THE ALBIOOOOOON!
