Witton turn their attention to the Isuzu FA Challenge Trophy on Saturday afternoon when they travel to City of Liverpool FC in a Second Qualifying Round tie.
The game will be only the third meeting between the two sides and the first in a cup competition.
Witton progressed to this stage by overcoming Runcorn Linnets on penalties in the previous round, whilst City of Liverpool FC had a more comfortable passage beating 1874 Northwich 3-1.
The two previous games between the two sides saw both league games drawn last season, a 1-1 draw at the Berry Street Garage Stadium earlier in the campaign and a goalless draw in the final game of the season at the U Lock It Stadium.
City of Liverpool FC have a number of faces in their personnel familiar to Witton, goalkeeper Calvin Hare, defender Nick Ryan, midfielder Michael Simpson and experienced striker Danny Mitchley and they will be looking to get the better of their former employers.
Witton will look to leading goalscorer Joe Duckworth amongst others in the hope of progressing to the next round but, a tough encounter is to be expected.
The tie will be decided on the day with penalties if the scores are level at the end of normal time.
Kick off at Berry Street Garage Stadium is 3pm.

A chance to keep our trophy run going but I expect it will be tough, especially with having a bad run of injuries possibly missing Martin, Koral, Kennerley, Hughes and maybe Fogerty. It stretches our squad losing 5 starters!
Good luck to whoever plays. UTA

NEWS UPDATE:
Albion goalkeeper Harry Wright appears to be ok following an awkward landing during the first half of today’s game.
Harry was initially attended to by City of Liverpool FC defender Jack Hont, who is a trained fireman and ran from the halfway line until the physio was there to take over.
I’m sure everyone at the club is extremely grateful to Jack for his prompt action.
Sadly not good enough today, we didn’t start playing till 2-0 down!
Unless we get all our lads fit pdq, we need a couple of signings to add some steel into the side and our defence is definitely missing Ollie Martin as a sweeper keeper.
Listening to Jon he knows the problem and I trust him to sort it. UTA
