Please note: City of Liverpool FC play their home games at Bootle FC.
Witton are on the road again on Saturday afternoon when they travel to City of Liverpool FC in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture in what is the first-ever meeting between the two clubs
Last weekend’s narrow victory at Skelmersdale United saw Albion end a run of three successive defeats and gain much-needed points that helped them to clmb the table.
Witton go into Saturday’s game in fifteenth place in the table whilst the “Purps” as they are known, currently sit third bottom having lost four of their seven home league games so far.
City of Liverpool FC play their home games at Bootle FC so this will be Witton’s second visit to the same stadium this season but, they will be hoping for a different outcome from their previous visit.
A familiar face within the City of Liverpool squad could be former Albion midfielder Joe Mwasile, who has moved on a few times in a short space of time since his brief stint at the U Lock It Stadium.
Danny McKenna has recently moved on to Ramsbottom United so won’t face his former employers but City of Liverpool will still prove tough opponents for Jon Macken’s team.
Witton’s last away league game before two back to back fixtures at the U Lock It Stadium, so they will be looking to bring three points back with them but City of Liverpool FC won’t make things easy for them as they also look to climb away from the danger zone.
Kick off at Berry Street Garage Stadium is 3pm.

Another tough test for the lads to keep the improvement going, think Barrow is suspended so I’d go
Martin
Koral, Harrison, Huxley, Jackson
Haywood, Williams, Fogerty
Hughes, Duckworth, Dowling
4 3 3 looked good last week and without Barrow, Haywood in midfield would be good. Jon might go with Haywood at right back, Koral up front and Maguire in midfield good luck to whoever plays. UTA
Think Hitchcox might come in at the back but not sure about any other issues.
I keep mixing up my Huxley’s and Hitchcox up lol.
Yes of course not seen Huxley since Trafford maybe he has gone?
I’m wondering the same CJ, we are not hearing much about departures lately.
