Club of the month awards October

From the Unibond site:

The UniBond League October Club of the Month awards have been given to Witton Albion in the Premier Division, Sheffield FC in the First Division South and to Harrogate Railway Athletic in the First Division North.

Witton Albion had an impressive October by being undefeated & scoring an impressive 23 goals. Sheffield FC have major celebrations in October which have been publicised elsewhere but their record of 5 wins and 1 draw [cup game which they eventually won on penalties] makes them the clear winners in the First Division South. Harrogate Railway Athletic’s qualification for the First Round of this seasons FA Cup by beating neighbours Harrogate Town would have been a factor in the decision, however the impressive record of 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats put them ahead of their nearest challengers Curzon Ashton, Skelmersdale United and FC United of Manchester.

Witton Albion will be presented with their award of 6 bottles of Pol Roger champagne and a commemorative certificate prior to the kick off of their home fixture versus Hednesford Town on Saturday 10th November. Sheffield will receive the same award prior to the kick off of their home fixture versus Lincoln United on Tuesday 13th November. Harrogate will be presented prior to the kick off of their fixture versus Bradford Park Avenue on Wednesday 21st November.

"Say we are club of the month, say we are club of the month, and now you’re gonna believe us…"

Let’s hope it won’t jinx us, but great recognition for a great month.

AWESOME !

Obviously none of the players will be able to consume the Champagne during the season due to the tight fitness and healthy living demands of footballers. On this basis I think the only thing fair would be for us to offer to drink the said bottles after the Hednesford game.

Excellent, job done!!!

Wonder if the club will donate one to the Albion Arms!!

i think the bottles should be auctioned on this Forum and proceeds given to the players’ fund.

great idea v!

I’ll start the bid at £ 50.
