Anybody know what kind of a team we’ll be putting out? Is anybody going? I’m guessing this isn’t going to be a top priority, but I’m surprised there’s been no mention of it at all on here!
We’re taking 4 coach loads but only taking 20 to Hucknall … ssshhhhh!
;D
I believe we will not be playing a full team as Jim wants to rest as many as possible. So I expect "fringe" and reserve team players to be given a run out. AS Mr Finley is there it would be nice to put one over on them but it will be a big ask. Noticed they won 6 away at Spalding on Saturday and they have some big name players including Mark Quayle, and John Lawless.
Its ironic that Mr Finley was in charge at one of the lowest points for our club the Bradford game with the shenanagins down the tunnel at half time. Two weeks later Jim was put in charge and the rest as they say is history. Hoping to make it tonight and beavering away here at work to try and get an early finish!!
All support tonight will as always be greatly appreciated by the players - if they have to go and put the effort in then we should try to do the same! This is of course a big ask given the Hucknall trip on Saturday.
According to the gaffer we have to play with 8 first team regulars in our starting line-up (otherwise would face a fine). A few will be rested from the starting line-up therefore but we benefit from a strong squad. A number of the reserves lads (who have been flying recently) will get a good chance to impress!
Other news is that Kearney is fit and no problems after his knock on Saturday (apparently a few lads have been taking the mickey regarding the noises of pain he was making)!!!
The main objective tonight is not to pick up any injuries and if we progress that will be a bonus (or not as the case may be)!
Lots of ‘Jimmy Vince’s Red & White Army’ tonight I feel!!!
I would expect to see Chris Royle, Tom Sp, Dean Crowe, John Dillon on show tonight at least.
Royle still injured I believe, I would say you were right about the other 3.

Quite Correct Picko.
Rutter, Ellison, and Drohan all looked able deputies if we ever need to call on them. Rutter worked his spuds off for the whole game.
There were certain players handed a chance to stake a claim last night, but who just didn’t take it. Infact, just one.
Showed great character to concede so late in the game, and still have the mental toughness to win the shoot-out.
Special mention to Ellison who made a fantastic double-save at the end of extra-time, and also saved 2 of the penalties.
