Full time in North Wales, Conwy Borough 1 Witton Albion 8

A most satisfactory pre-season ends with a great confidence boost against a limited Conwy. Bearing in mind the bone-hard bumpy pitch I thought some of our one-touch passing play was an absolute delight. Four or five of the goals were a real treat to watch and as for that A. Trialist ( now he gets around…) I was very impressed. Goalscoring midfielders transform a team and let’s hope we can add him to an already impressive squad.

it will be a damn site harder next Saturday but we can be filled with quiet confidence. Let’s hope that’s our last trip down the traffic jam known as the A55 for a while. Roll on the real stuff!

Considering we lined up 4-5-1 today, with 3 central midfielders, and Harvey up front on his own, to score 8 goals was remarkable. Our defence was rarely troubled, and I think it was one of their players who hand balled in our penalty area for their penalty.

Given that Chester were stuffed 5-0 at home today I think we should be a little wary of our pre season results. Still, 8-1 against anybody is a hell of a result.
WHS. :clap :clap

Telford and BPA both drew and we more than matched them but you can tell we are so much better and the squad much stronger so nothing wrong with a bit of positive optimism !

Harvey has really looked the business this pre-season. Fantastic replacement for Josh. Well done Pritch.

Isn’t Howard the replacement for Josh, Harvey is the new striker ? Did Titch play at all yesterday and was Bakkor injured ?

Oh yeah, getting my Howards and Harveys mixed up.

I meant the winger, Iain Howard?

I see that Ilkeston won 6-1 at Lincoln Utd yesterday, so ever chance of a goal less draw next Saturday !

i don’t think Bakkor travelled for whatever reason. Titch was a named sub, but although improving, he was not chanced. Steve Hall(the trialist) has since signed for the club since his impressive hatrick.
