I don’t do Facebook or Twitter but if You’re able to speak to Stewart Kellett and if he’s a witton fan why not ask him if he can do an exhibition night At the club?
A lot of my mate’s don’t follow witton but they love their darts and I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t mind paying £5 or £10 to give him a best of three game.
It could bring some good publicity to the club and from personal experiences I know darts fans like a beer so that won’t do the bars profits any harm either! Thoughts?[/quote]
I have spoken with Stu Kellett this morning and he didn’t even have to think about it, he would love to come down the club for a darts night there is obviously so much to organise plus speak with the club, but it’s a good possibility of this happening UTA
Spoke to Stu this morning and unfortunately he is out of the country on the weekend of the Beer Festival :-(, he flies out to Holland this Thursday for a tournament so i have said that I will speak with Sharon in the club and Neil to get a date which is free and see when he available, but he has said 100% he is up for it. I also have the number of his management so when we agree a date for this I can contact them to get it booked officially
Jonny - i’d be well up for a darts night. I watch quite alot of darts and, although I don’t think Stu is in the premier league this year, he is becoming more and more established. I’ve seen him on tv in some of the biggest tournaments against the worlds best players over the last couple of years. This might be a ridiculous suggestion but wouldn’t it be brilliant to see a small witton badge or something embroided onto his shirt like some of the other players do! (or a walk on with a witton scarf!) I guess something like that would be down to his management, sponsors etc (and assuming he would want to of course) but seeing the witton badge/scarf on live tv would be awesome! As I say maybe a ridiculous suggestion but it just came to mind when I heard he is a fellow Alb!
