Only a week to go and still 3 trialists in the squad ! Let’s hope we can get another goal back it’s a bad habit losing UTA

I trust the manager, I don’t understand him, but I do trust him

Decent draw, now down to the serious stuff, the manager deserves our trust after last season but agree I don’t follow everything he does. UTA

is this the same thread of 12 months a go.everyone was giving the manager stick and in the end he did us good.as long as we dont get relegated that will be good enough for me.UTA.

Why were people giving him stick this time last year?

Anyone know the odds on us being relegated?

Can’t believe I’m reading this . After the season we’ve just had and people are talking about relegation.

Wow!! This is a whole new level of negativity. Pre season just finished and there is talk of relegation and lack of understanding with the manager. I was one who thought Carl was the wrong choice over Brian but was proven wrong (along with many many others) yet even now after a fantastic season there is doubt without a competitive ball kicked! I for one will be looking forward to the new season with upmost optimism

I don’t think anyone in the Albion ranks has anything but support for Carl and the management team and players. To suggest anything else is just plain daft. Friendlies are what they are - a chance to try out new players and systems so don’t read anything into them. If you have a problem ask him ! Simples ! The season beckons and we will be fine !!!

I have no doubts Carl will get it right and we won’t be in relegation trouble in my opinion either. All I was saying at this point in my opinion ( it’s a forum for discussion isn’t it ) We are a little bit off where I Thought we would be at this stage after promotion to a tough league ! and that’s all, we have lost 3 of last seasons best 11 and I’m not sure so far on what I’ve seen we have replaced them with enough quality. I hope I’m proved wrong when the season starts just as the team did last year and I will be delighted if I am wrong but it’s only an opinion on a forum after all ! UTA

My only thought is one of surprise at the team which started the game but, there may well have been genuine reasons for that. I’ve counted at least six players who would’ve been starters last season. Admittedly, some were on the bench but others not involved. With it being our last Pre Season Friendly I would’ve thought that we would have our strongest team but as I said, there are obviously reasons known to Carl why that wasn’t the case.

With Tames, Hopley and Jones we will score enough goals to do well, how well depends on how the others perform. As for the Manager, my kind of guy, says little, just gets on with it, wish I could do the same!!
