Witton bring their Pre Season programme to a close on Saturday afternoon when they make the relatively short trip to Droylsden. The Bloods have been regular opponents over the years particularly during both clubs time in the Cheshire League in the 1960’s & 70’s. Meetings in recent years have been restricted to cup ties and pre season friendlies and Albion last made the journey in pre season a year ago. Three wins and a draw from Witton’s last four warm-up games have allowed the players to build some momentum following a slow but not unexpected start to the campaign. Droylsden have enjoyed a mixed campaign so far losing both of their last two friendlies after opening with two victories from the four games played so far. Both clubs will be looking to perform well and take the form into the league campaign starting next week. Kick off at The Butcher’s Arms is 3pm.

Directions: Merge onto M56 for 5.4 miles. Keep left at the fork to stay on the M56. Continue for 2.2 miles and merge onto the M60 and follow for 8.7 miles. Exit the M60 at Junction 23, take the A6140 to Ashton under Lyne. After 0.2 miles, turn left onto the A6140 continue for 469ft. Turn left onto Manchester Road/A635 and carry on for 0.4 miles. Turn right onto Lumb Lane/A635/A662 and follow for 299ft. Continue straight onto Droylsden Road/A662 and follow for 0.6 miles. Turn right onto Market Street. Droylsden AFC is on the left after 0.1 miles.
Parking: The Car Park is next to the main entrance with space for 50 cars. Additional but limited parking is available on the street near to the stadium.
