Only one “e” in Droylsden !
Where the great Malcolm Wagstaffe Snr came from - he is probably the best post war centre-half to ever play for Witton Albion ?
If you don’t remember him ask your father !
Nothing against Alf Ashley and Pritch - they are Witton Albions best ever servants !
Last time I went there they had to delay the kick-of because so many Wittoners turned up

Talking of Droylsden. I notice that The Bloods keeper Paul Phillips will be suspended for the FA Trophy clash after receiving a 3 match ban. At the recent derby against Stalybridge, he picked up a firework that had been thrown onto the pitch and instantly threw it back into the crowd. He was shown a straight red card by the referee.
I bet his manager gave him a rocket.

Looks like he has a short fuse.
Fancy doing that. He wasn’t a very bright spark!

You’d have thought they would have let him off
At least he didn’t get fired.

Strikes me as a bit like the “Pritch” incident, I feel sorry for the lad and he should be let off.

No sire not quite like Pritch incidence.Pritch didn’t throw the streaker back at the crowd.Instead he tried to lead him out off the playing area. The lad should have done the same and spoken to ref.Throwing it back at the crowd was not a good idea in these days of health and safety mad world.
Red card was harsh like Pritch’s.
