We have been drawn at home to either Midland Football League Premier Division Darlaston Town 1874 or Tividale in the Emirates FA Challenge Cup Preliminary Round.

The tie is scheduled to be played on SATURDAY, 20th AUGUST.

Tividale have just gone 4 - 0 up in the 90th minute, so safe to say they will be our opponents.

Lets hope we can have a decent cup run this year!

The draw for the First Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Challenge Cup will take place at lunchtime on MONDAY, 22nd AUGUST.

Ties are scheduled to be played on SATURDAY, 3rd SEPTEMBER.

Details of Witton’s opponents will be posted here as soon as the information is announced.

Witton have been drawn at home to Northern Premier League Premier Division FC United of Manchester in the Emirates FA Challenge Cup First Qualifying Round.

The game is scheduled to be played on SATURDAY, 3rd SEPTEMBER with a 3pm kick off.

The game will be the third time in eight years that the two clubs have been paired together in the FA’s premier competition.

Maybe a slight possibility that the BBC might consider this for their live red button match? They are due to show a game from the north/midlands half of the draw and this ticks the boxes. Good facilities, decent crowd, smaller club at home to a bigger club etc.

A home tie is always welcome - pity we couldn’t have drawn slightly “lesser” opposition, but at least it should ensure a decent crowd.

I have a feeling that this new team will look forward to getting the opportunity to put one over a “bigger” club (never thought I’d be saying that!) - anything is possible on the day, so let’s hope it’s a red letter day for the Albion :+1: :star_struck: :soccer:

A winnable tie, although I’m sure FC United will be clear favourites. The main thing to hope for in a cup draw is home advantage, and we’ve been given that, and as @Central_Grounder_New says, there should be a decent gate.
Interesting point from @Oldwittonian about possible BBC coverage, shouldn’t be too long before their choice is known.

The BBC have chosen the tie between AFC Bury & North Shields for live coverage.

The Stewards are saying that they are expecting around 300 from FC United and they are not planning to segregate at this stage.

There is a suggestion of tickets being purchased online in advance but that is not confirmed as yet.

Details will be posted on here should that be necessary.
