The BBC have begun showing Emirates FA Cup ties on the sport website from today. The first game to be shown was a 12.30pm kick off between Litherland Remyca and AFC Liverpool in the Extra Preliminary Round. There will be a live game from every Qualifying Round shown.
Former Albion keeper Dominic Garner was in great form for AFC Liverpool but couldn’t prevent them from going out of the competition 2-0. In fact, Garner kept his team in it especially in the first half.
Former Witton striker Joel Brownhill, scored a hat trick as Ashton Athletic beat Squires Gate 4-0 in the Emirates FA Challenge Cup Extra Preliminary Round. Another former Witton player, Jamie Harrison scored the other goal.

Fifteen Evo-Stik League clubs have guaranteed progress through to the First Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Challenge Cup to be drawn on Monday. Other clubs face replays, whilst there were a number of casualties in the Preliminary Round on Saturday.

City of Liverpool FC almost managed a creditable draw in their Emirates FA Challenge Cup First Qualifying Round tie against Nantwich Town on Friday night, in front of a crowd of 1,024. The Dabbers snatched a 95th minute goal through Sean Cooke to win 2-1 and progress to Monday’s draw.
City of Liverpool FC managed by former Witton striker Simon Burton, also had ex Albion player Karl Noon in the starting line-up. Two other former Albion players were also named as substitutes - Alex Meechan & Tom Spearritt.
