England

Every player in the England squad is a millionaire but they failed to defeat those “Titans” of World Soccer, Ecuador. (Population 16 million.) Do you think we might be over-paying our players? Sorry, I know, it was only our reserves and our first team would have won by a mile. Problem is no one knows what our first team is!

Not bothered about England.

Would love to see Holland, Portugal or Germany win it for varying reasons.

Never understood why it is only seems to be manchester united fans that aren’t bothered about England. Admittedly I’m not as interested as I used to be but I want us to win it (however unlikely) and I could never follow anyone else other than England. Can’t believe you wanting the Germans amongst others to win it mookie! .sick :red

:stuck_out_tongue: If its not Phil Neville, its Beckham, or Rooney, or Ronaldo.

My money is on it being Welbeck’s fault this summer. I just can’t bring myself to care when the rest of the country will blame a United player whatever happens. In the unlikely event England win i’d probably be cheering them in the final.

unless its against Germany

Well its likely to be a Liverpool players fault this time! Not a spurs player on the plane gutted .veryangry My moneys on the host nation, hope they beat Germany in the final  Once its all over it wont be long till the Albs kick off anyway, at least its a bit of footy in the meantime B) C’mon England!

Can’t understand you Mookie, I am not much bothered about England but I could never support another country. We may be overpaid rubbish, but they are our overpaid rubbish! As for blaming United players for us losing, sadly it is usually down to one of them, even when they play for another country, Valencia?

A fair share of Liverpool supporters share the same stance with regards to England. Both Liverpool and Manchester are cities brimming with character and originality meaning that they tend to distance themselves from anything establishment/London.

Probably something to do with both teams also ruling over their country for a long period of time (and in Liverpool’s case, Europe).
Is it any co-incidence that the vast majority England supporters come from smaller clubs like Blackburn or Wigan? Highlight of their football-supporting lives!

I’d be interested to hear the views of Everton or City supporters?

Club > Country.

For me its definitely Club before country, if I was offered England winning the World Cup or Witton winning the Evostick League its Witton all the way
Although I will be cheering us on in Brazil and would love us to do well I cant get emotional over England performances which explains why I’ve never had any interest in ever going to an England game!
Roll on pre season UTA

What a load of complete BOLLOCKS!! COME ON ENG-ER-LAND!!!

I went to watch soccer aid at old Trafford a few years ago. Probably the only time I’ll ever pay to watch an England side!

Man U fan?

I have to agree, would rather Witton won the league than England the World Cup. Mind you I would be very happy if both happened!!
WHS.

Nope Liverpool. Probably the only time I’d pay to get in there too!
Why did you ask if I was man u?

Cos most Man U fans I know don’t have the slightest bit of interest in following their national team, I don’t know of another club that have so many fans with the same view. I sort of understood the Man U greater than England thing when they were winning everything but most of their fans I know have the same view when they finish seventh in the league!

Give it a few years mate and they’ll be attending England matches, coz let’s face it the only football outside of England they’re going to see is Swansea away

Going by the results maybe England are not as bad as we thought. Had Suarez not played against us we would have probably won and been in the last 16. Columbia look good as do Belgium, France, Argentina and Germany but Brazil nearly blew it against Chile, Mexico should have beaten Holland and at this moment in time Costa Rica, who won our group look like making it into the quarter finals.

PS Backed Belgium at 18-1, good odds for a side unbeaten in the World Cup so far including qualifying.

Not to blow my own trumpet or anything, but…

#shitiforgottoputmymoneyonbrazil bangwall

Both my lads said before a ball had been kicked that FIFA had fixed it so Brazil played Argentina in the final, they might be right!!

Whilst I grudgingly have to admit Germany were worthy winners of the World Cup where was the new superstar the Platini, Garrincha, Pele, Vava, Zico, the REAL Ronaldo, Zidane, Puskas, Charlton, Tardelli, Rossi, Beckanbeur, Muller, Kempes, Eusabio? It was a good World Cup but lacked a REAL talent to excite us all in my opinion.
