With deepest sadness we announce the passing of former Witton Albion Football Club Director, Ernie Fryer at the age of 83 after a long illness.
Ernie Joined the club in 2008 and served as a director for six years during Mark Harris time as Chairman.
Indeed, he worked with Mark at Altrincham and also served Northwich Victoria briefly, and Wigan Athletic.
He also had connections to Manchester United and was a jovial character, full of wit and banter a unique character who always left you smiling.
Ernie’s funeral will take place at St Mary’s Church, Ellenbrook near Worsley at 1pm on Wednesday, 14th December.
RIP Ernie.
