hooray and all that jazz. a competition that always was a joke. do not want to see it revived, it never was taken seriously and was just a chore for both clubs and fans. long may it be buried!!!
It is sad that ALL Cup competitions are now treated with disdain, even the FA Cup is out of favour with the big clubs. Cup football used to be the best, now it is just to make money so if it doesn’t do that it gets dumped.

I agree WHS I like cups unfortunately even little old Witton pick and choose what cups they are interested in and play under strength teams which really annoys me, my view is if your in then try to win it - Fatigue My A*** if you give someone the chance to be fatigued they will be, if it was really something they wanted to do they would not be fatigued I bet ! its all in the head.
Spurs played 49 games when they did the double in 1961 and they used just 14 players!!! And they all smoked and drank!! I thought modern footballers were fit? For two seasons when I was 20/21 I played on a Saturday morning in the College League and in the afternoon in the Central Cheshire League, I then played for Church Inn on a Sunday morning. I was crap in all the games but I wasn’t “fatigued”. I even went Memorial Hall on Saturday evenings and danced the night away, what a bunch of wimps footballers are today. (Pritch excluded).

“And they all smoked and drank”.
Brown
Baker Henry
Blanchflower (Capt) Norman Mackay
Jones White Smith Allen Dyson
Now thats a team WHS !!! SBL
Too true and they only used 3 reserves, Marchi, Hopkins and Dave Dunmore I think, but I am happy to be corrected.
WHS.
Not on here though, we should be on Other Teams, or other sports when you compare football then to football now!!!
WHS.
And now Spurs are Manchester United’s feeder club !
More home grown players edict, of course to the top clubs that just means BUY more “home grown” players. I thought it meant clubs own academy players, what a disgrace football is at that level, long live (honest sustainable) non-league clubs!!
AND ANOTHER FECKIN THING…TIRED…or NOT MATCH FIT, the choice is yours
