The draw is immaterial, Gateshead at home tomorrow is our one and only concern.

Not that Nigel and the lads needed anymore of an incentive, but playing against Witton Albion Old Boys 1st Team in the next round is a massive bonus!

Agree with Andy. All talk of the next round - and also of how well we played on Saturday - is irrelevant unless we win tomorrow.

But it is a decent carrot for us. We know Brown and Brownhill - and i even went and scouted Droylsden on Saturday!!

It’s fairly local, not a bad ground to play at. As fans we can have a good day out and should take a decent following.

BUT tomorrow is the one that matters, so let’s get behind them and make sure that it is us that go to Tameside in a few weeks and not the Geordies!!!

Looks like Gateshead have forgotten the fact they have a game tomorrow night! From their website:

The scheduled date for the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup is Saturday 11th October with ties affecting North East clubs shown below:

FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round Draw

Droylsden v Gateshead, Buxton v Blyth Spartans/Whitby Town; Newcastle Blue Star v Hucknall Town, Retford United v Newcastle Benfield/Winterton Rangers, Stalybridge Celtic v Durham City, Whitley Bay v Nantwich Town.

I hope that Nige is made aware of that small oversight; it’s excellent motivational material!!!

 To be fair, the top of the story on the Gateshead website does say…

Gateshead have been drawn away to Blue Square North rivals Droylsden in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup - if they win Tuesday’s replay at Witton Albion. <>

Decent draw but as everyone has said we need to get through tuesday first.

Win tomorrow, then think about Droylsden, one game at a time please.
WHS.

Too many chickens have been counted previously before eggs have hatched!

We are capable of beating Gateshead, but it won’t be easy, we can focus on Droylsden Albion after that!
