Abbey Hey vs WITTON ALBION.

The tie is to take place on THURSDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER. Kick off 7.30pm.

Witton’s Youth Team travel to Abbey Hey this evening in the Preliminary Round of the FA Youth Cup. The tie is being played at The Abbey Stadium and will be decided on the night with Extra Time and Penalties if necessary. The game kicks off at 7.30pm.

Directions: M60 to junction 24, take A57 to Manchester City Centre for approx. 1 mile, at first set of major traffic lights (McDonalds on right) pass through for approx. 300 yards, turn left immediatley before overhead railway bridge (A.H.F.C. sign) into Woodland Avenue. Take first right, pass under railway bridge, turn first left into Goredale Avenue.

Parking: There is plenty of parking inside the grounds of the club and next to the Social Club.

16 year old Midfielder Ronan Eves, who made a brief appearance in the closing minutes of the Emirates FA Challenge Cup tie last Saturday against Buxton is captaining the Youth Team tonight.

Witton second best for the majority of the first half.

The first goal came as result of a deflected shot from outside the area whilst the second, was the result of a goalkeeping mistake.

A better performance from Witton in the second half but, Abbey Hey have now restored their two-goal advantage. Witton now playing with ten men, having used all their substitutes and then losing their goalscorer to injury.

A spirited second half performance from the Albion youngsters and they did create a couple of chances in the second period but the deficit became too much for them with ten men.

Abbey Hey Youth will now be away to Marine in the First Qualifying Round on Monday, 19th September.
