FC United of Manchester v Witton Albion

Looks like their keeper likes hoofing it to the left winger

Can’t wait for this game, this is what I watch football for big game atmosphere’s! We can do this UTA!

Speaking of atmosphere we’ve got to make as much noise as possible like we did there a few weeks ago. It had an impact on our players, they said so themselves.
WE ARE ALBION
:clap

Match is pay on the gate
Adults £8
Over 60s £5
Under 18s £2

Had a few FC fans saying they couldnt hear us at the last game :-
Think thats a load of bull as we were in fine voice but with double the support there we will make twice as much noise!
Penny Black at 1 30pm anyone?

I think they must have said they couldn`t win against us :stuck_out_tongue:

Excited for this game… But at the same time shot with nerves.

There’ll be plenty of Wittoners in the Penny Black throughout the afternoon, so if you’re off, why not come down for a guinness

I’m backing us to take around 250 there, so let’s make loads of noise! :clap :clap

One good thing is that we will all be together in the same part of the stand and united as one voice.

We have a history to which we want to add another chapter.

They were supposed to be a reaction to the real Utd and instead have just become a small scale copy.

We can beat them and I can’t wait to be there :cheer:

Listening to the FCUM podcast the presenters can’t even agree on their starting 11!!

For me that is to our advantage, an unsettled team is an unhappy team

If anyone is having trouble motivating themselves for tomorrows game I suggest listening to the FCUM Radio Podcast from about 27 mins onwards.
Refer to us as ‘Witton Athletic’, can’t remember Tuckers name, and make no mention of our head to head record. (Witton won 3 FC won 2)

I was always taught to respect your opponent otherwise they will punish you. I hope we punish this lot

They heard us before the game, they heard us during the game and they heard us after the game!
They’re just a bunch of spoilt man united fan’s that don’t like it when it doesn’t go their way! :stuck_out_tongue:

It doesn’t matter if the FCUM fans can hear us. All that matters is can our players hear us.

Hi Guys, first of all I hope you all have a safe journey up to Gigg lane this evening and enjoy the sun whilst it lasts.
Just a few things to mention. Whilst you will always get the odd big time charlie amongst all support, the majority of FC United fans are not spolit Man United fans and know our place within the football world. We recognize that clubs like Witton Albion have a long tradition and history that we can only dream about, that said we are a unique club and do loads of Work in the community, more than any other club in the country and certainly more by percentage than both Man United and City. There are various reasons why FC United fans go to the match. Some still go to both Man United and FC, some simply can’t afford to watch premiership football and some wont go on principle of the total disregarding of the football supporter by the money men. What happened to Portsmouth, Leeds and closer to home Northwich Vics could happen to any club. We are trying to run something of our own and make sure it will never happen to us.
Gigg lane holds 11.600 or so people, it is simply to big for a club of our size, to that end when we are behind the goal, we rarely hear our own mainstand fans, let alone away fans. It is not being flippant to say we cant hear you, you are just too far away. You will see what I mean when you are singing yourselves tonight, look and see if you can hear the fans behind the goal, at the same time, you wont be able to.No one said you don’t back your team.
I like Witton as a club and although I hope we win tonight, it is not the be all and end all, the major victory for us was securing our own ground. I will be the first to come on here and wish you all the best if you win. We are co owners and are poles apart from Man Uniteds owners. We are not “Little” Man United, and one day I hope to have a history that matches yours.I hope you enjoy the occasion (but not too much  ) and a safe journey to you all. FORZA FCUM!

Cheers FCUR, Forums are bad places for stirring things up and saying something and it gets taken out of context, enjoy the agme tonight I expect a real tough game and to be honest either team can win it, rumopurs have it that you have bought a fair bit of kit from our ex neighbours ground except the floodlights which are going else where

Apparrently still only rumours about the victorial stadium sale nothing confirmed yet for any of the assets.
