FC United on Saturday

I have just read on FC fan page that the clubhouse will be closed from 1pm on Saturday. Please can this be clarified as if it’s true it will cost us a lot of money and if it’s wrong, it needs putting on all social media FC UNITED fans are welcome otherwise that will cost us a lot of money if they go to the Witton Chimes instead.

We need to get over this obsession that FC fans cause trouble!!

I have just had confirmation from Jacky at the Social Club, that the club will OPEN at 1pm but will close half an hour before the game. It will not re open until after the game so no bar at half time.

Please note: Alcohol will not be permitted inside the stadium for this game.

Segregation will be in place inside the stadium.

Thanks for the clarification. I don’t understand why but we must have some money to refuse business.

Last post off me on this subject but wasn’t it Winsford fans last time we played them that had flares and tried getting on the pitch after they scored? But I’ve not read anything about the bar being shut tomorrow.

I don’t remember any problems last time we played FC.

To be fair most of the trouble is when Witton go to FC and get attacked, so there is some bad blood you could argue no trouble at Witton because of segregation?

Agreed. The FA Cup game there a few years ago was gruesome - I’ve never seen anything like it watching the Albs.

A former player of ours (I’d rather not mention him) also had a big hand in creating a really toxic atmosphere at Witton/FC United games under Pritch.

It’ll probably be fine - but it’s a fair shout not to take the risk when you’ve got 1000+ in the ground.

But we’ll allow FC fans in the bar before the game? A bit hypocritical I’m afraid but then just going off track a bit, are we expecting to be segregated at Atherton Collieries next season after the behaviour of some Witton fans a month or so ago?

I’m only providing the information that I’ve been given but please bear in mind, the decision may have been taken out of the club’s hands.

Lovely to hear left pegger back on the forum. Thought you had turned into a green you’ve been away that long.
Can’t see there being any trouble, other than the one game at their place it’s normally ok.
