FC United v Witton Albion -Saturday 26th Sept 2015

 For anyone considering travelling to the FA Cup game at FC United of Manchester tomorrow, don’t forget that there’s a Premier League game at Old Trafford at 3 pm also, so you may need to allow additional time for that.

If travelling by car, the SatNav for Broadhurst Park is M40 0FJ. The car parking at and around the ground is very limited, however, so for those supporters who would prefer instead to travel by public transport, the best option is probably the train from Northwich Railway Station departing each hour at xx30, no later than 1230, alighting at Manchester Piccadilly after an hour and a quarter’s journey. Then go downstairs for a Metrolink tram, destination Rochdale, alighting at Newton Heath & Moston tram stop (three stops after Manchester Victoria). Tram journey time = 20 minutes. From the tram stop, it’s a 20 minute or so’s walk to the new ground (turn right and then it’s straight on down St. Mary’s Road), although FC United do operate a free shuttle bus to their new ground from outside the Railway (public house) which is near to the tram stop. Cheapest travel ticket combination will probably be a GM Wayfarer ticket at £12 for adults (£6 concessions) which covers train / tram and service bus travel between Northwich and Greater Manchester.

Admission prices are £9 (Adults), £5 (Concessions) and £2 (Under 18s) and there is no segregation in place for tomorrow’s game, so you can view the game from any side of the ground, which is all under cover. Programmes are available both inside and outside the ground priced at £2. There is food and drink available from the main bar inside the ground at the back of the main stand.

Information already on Peter under “Pre match chat.” Apart from the information you have added regarding the public transport.

Let’s hope for an excellent result tomorrow.

Just read that Their first choice keeper is out of action as he suffered a nasty assault last Saturday
