Thanks to the ones who’ve posted on the other thread and hope to see many more Wittoners there cheering on the Red & White Stripes. They’ve got a nice club and tea-bar at Trafford and the playing surface is usually very good indeed.
Sensible post Chad. I’ll use my mate Tom Tom to get there. I’ll be leaving the Thatched Tavern at about 1.00pm if anybody needs a lift>
May I cadge a lift please, Thatched Tavern?
Have sent you a PM.
Just to get this back on the latest posts bearing in mind the final is tomorrow.
Should be a few Wittoners going already but the more the merrier - now there’s a word we ain’t used for the past three weeks.
Drum & Flag coming?
I carnt bring the drum but I will bring the WAFC flag.
Lost 3-2.
For most of the game we gave a good account of ourselves but unfortunately leaked goals at crucial times.
I believe we have a final game on Monday. What times kick-off?
Yep they got caught out early doors then conceded another, silly one this time, when looking to get back into match. 0-2 down at half-time but Dean Williams scored right at the start of 2nd period. Tom Rutter then had a great chance to equalise but didn’t realise how much time he had and ended up lobbing over the keeper and the bar unfortunately. Their keeper then produced the save of the day when keeping out from his own defender. Town then got a daft free-kick, our guy was being fouled but when he fell the ref awarded warrington the free-kick as he fell on the ball. Great struck kick though to make it 1-3, Tim Drohan scored a great individual goal with time running out but for the 2nd time in 3 seasons it was just runners-up medals for ur 2nd string.
Noted that Craig Ward played No 4 for Town, he made an Albion first team debut up at Gateshead two seasons back and still retains a great feeling for the Albion.
The team play again on Monday evening, at Wincham park v Stalybridge Celtic Reserves, Note Kick-off is 6:30pm
