Colwyn Bay and Newport County have sacked their managers after the clubs failed to reach their targets.

Colwyn Bay’s 4-2 win over Spalding could not save Gary Finley after the club ended eigth in Unibond Division One South.

Newport County’s failure to reach the Blue Square Southern League play-offs cost Peter Beadle his job

Beadle’s downfall came after a 2-1 home defeat to Fisher Athletic on Saturday ended their promotion hopes.

A statement on the Colwyn Bay website read: “Colwyn Bay Football Club have taken the decision to relieve Gary Finley of his position with immediate effect. A further statement will be released shortly.”
