First new Signing

Nigel has today signed Scott Willis, a very gifted player who can also give the team what some supporters thought was lacking last year, I met him tonight and he seems a very genuine lad who is very keen to play for Witton Albion. I think it is ok to say that Nigel has several more irons in the fire and as soon as deals are done we will let you know, rest assured just because nothing is being announced it doesn’t mean nothing is happening, I know you understand.

According to the wikipedia article we’ll be his 18th club, impressive haul for a 26 year old!!

This guy sounds like a reet nutter…just what we need!!!

Looks like we can kiss goodbye to the fair play trophy!

“He scored a cracking goal against Exeter City, and another in the fantastic 4-1 away win at Carlisle. A red card in an ill-tempered 2-2 draw with Cambridge soon cast Scott as the villain. His dismissal came following a crude kung fu style tackle to the throat of a Cambridge defender”

I like him already

Also there is a rumour he’s Cilla Black’s nephew…

Did Scott play in a pre-season friendly for us either last season or the season before?

Think you might be thinking about Scott Lycett

…who has signed for Colwyn Bay…

Just spoke to a mate who’s a Vic’s fan (he spent 4 games on loan there) he reckons he’s a complete nutter, in the Gary Brabin type of way!
Fantastic signing then! To be fair I think he will get away with a lot more in this league than he would of done in the Confererence. He could be the man to allows us to go and compete on a horrible wet Tuesday night at Prescot or Frickley!

Don’t know about Cilla Blacks nephew - sounds more like Bruce Willis bad brother !:frowning:

Thank god for that someone who is going to get stuck in I love it! Keep em coming Nige.

talking about football i hope joanna?.

Certainly am, got to get my priorities right. :S

priorities, now thats a word you could juggle with.:stuck_out_tongue:

I think of all the potential signings this summer, the player I would most like to see pull on the red and white shirt again is Dorryl Proffitt. And also Tom Spearritt while I’m at it!

Bring back the Dozzler!!!

Funny you should mention The Dozzler Greenie, I had a similar thought. I thought when we let him go he could have still done a job, not sure that Jim or Nige necessarily felt the same way about him. There will remain a ‘Shrine to The Dozzler’ in the Albion Arms!

Brief account here of Scott’s finest hour in a Leigh shirt - he will certainly prove to be a livewire and, on his day, there are few better players in non-league.

Good luck Scott, you’ll be guaranteed a warm reception when you return to Leigh.,9200892
