Nigel has today signed Scott Willis, a very gifted player who can also give the team what some supporters thought was lacking last year, I met him tonight and he seems a very genuine lad who is very keen to play for Witton Albion. I think it is ok to say that Nigel has several more irons in the fire and as soon as deals are done we will let you know, rest assured just because nothing is being announced it doesn’t mean nothing is happening, I know you understand.

Funny you should mention The Dozzler Greenie, I had a similar thought. I thought when we let him go he could have still done a job, not sure that Jim or Nige necessarily felt the same way about him. There will remain a ‘Shrine to The Dozzler’ in the Albion Arms!
Brief account here of Scott’s finest hour in a Leigh shirt - he will certainly prove to be a livewire and, on his day, there are few better players in non-league.
