Fitness Training With jim Vince

I need to know asap who would be available for a special training session at Moss Farm on Thursday evening. Please reply here or text me.

probably - what time though?

Half 8, with John virgo

Looks like the SAS have been running your training sessions.

No, that’s just the matches. Training is mild in comparison!

Fitness session with Jim Vince, Moss Farm at 8.30pm on Thursday.

Can we meet in the car-park at 8ish to ensure a prompt start?

Thanks.[br]Posted on: July 03, 2007, 03:47:42 PM
Can i just throw this out to anyone else who wants to come down to be put through their paces by Jim Vinc-io tomorrow night.

Scad, Grazzer, Thomas, etc etc etc.

Just a quick thank you to Jim and Nige - was a good session - maybe we could incorporate that into a Tuesday night Robbo?

My thoughts exactly Neil.

BIG thanks to Jim and Nigel for sparing 30 minutes or so to put us through our paces. MOST of us got alot out of it, some of us struggled…not mentioning any names. Si. Or Chad.

Well done Big Stu, thought you did brilliant carrying that near 7 foot frame up and down Moss Farm hill!!!

Says a lot about Jim and Nige that they did spare the time, and not only that but that they were very humble about it. They didn’t make it seem like they were putting themselves out, and they offered us plenty of encouragement as we struggled up and down, up and down, up and down…

So, Tuesdays… Yes there will be a bit more substance to it from now on. We have proved that we can do it.

Totally enjoyed that…although I did think I was going to die at one point, in fact I might still do yet, well done to all the guys who took part no-one wanted to let themselves, Jim/Nigel down or each other and gave it a real good go.

Just goes to show how fit the players are, we as supporters can complain about the odd poor performance but working at that level it is easy to understand why it happens.

Many thanks to Jim and Nigel, I learnt a lot from a coaching perspective in the process.

Brilliant really buzzing…which is just aswell cos I probably wont be able to walk for 3 days :o

Again well done to all involved, when is the next one???

Struggled is an understatement!!! Bloody lightweight. It just shows how much work i need to do to get fit after years of neglect. It may take some time but i will get there eventually.

Thought you all did brilliantly tonight.

Massive thanks to Jim and Nigel. I just shows what safe hands our club is in when these two gents once again give up their free time to help us.

Even though i struggled i am sure it will have done some good even if it is just a wake up call for how unfit i am.

Thanks also to all those who kept making sure i was alright, although at one point i thought Phil might have been sending for a medic.

It was a massive benefit, and we will be looking to do something similar on a Tuesday from now on. Again the team ethic came to the fore, everyone was pushing and encouraging each other, even though Jim kept saying "worry about yourselves!" I absolutely felt the benefit of my years of killing myself rowing, it’s just the ability to keep pushing even though your body doesn’t work anymore!! It has to be said that last night was the only time in the last few weeks that I was glad the sun wasn’t out!

It was also positive to see how much Jim and Nigel were buzzing about the new signings, if we don’t need to stretch to a player of Jon Newby’s calibre that says it all.

A great session, lets keep the enthusiasm going into Sunday’s game.

After a turbulent few days it’s nice to be able to feel proud of my players again…

You cheeky b@stard Robbo!

I completed every task that everyone else did.

Despite giving 10-20 Years away to most of the participants.

I’m sure you did complete them young Andy. Probably about half 7ish this morning…

;D

Seriously, you did really well. There is alot to be said for the new pacemakers they are currrently fitting.

i have not been online for ages and i am gutted that i misse douton that as i really could of done with it good to see that jim and nige were willing to give up their time to help out with the supporters team though
