Keep the Pressure On:

In Tony Greenwood’s website ‘thoughts’ today, and the matchday programme tomorrow, you will read how he is constantly monitoring the availability of players who he thinks can enhance our squad.

In support of this we have, this week, had what would be a club record transfer fee accepted by a Conference National club for a striker of proven ability at the top level of the non-league football pyramid. We hope to enter into discussions with the player concerned very shortly regarding personal terms so that the signing can be completed as quickly as possible. In addition, we have also made a sizeable offer for a defender currently playing for a rival UniBond League club and, whilst this offer has been rejected by the club concerned, we will closely monitor the situation to try to conclude a deal for the player.

We remain determined to back our Manager Tony Greenwood in our quest to earn promotion into the Conference North this season

They better get a move on!

I believe it to be Steve Daly from Droylsden who has managed 3 goals this season, and a fee of over £10k ? wow a bit of a gamble I would have thought

I suspect Daly could be quite a handful at this level and will add to their squad. Also bear in mind they need to replace the forward sent off in a (sunday league?) game.

At this time last year Telford and Hednesford thought it was a two horse race - lets make sure we don’t fall into the same trap please!

Interesting to see that of their 4 games in hand. One is at home (Gateshead this Tuesday) and then 3 are away. Could be a tough ask. And of course they have to come to fortress Wincham.

Not counting any chickens though…
