Keep the Pressure On #2!
15/01/08 19:30

Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the arrival of Kyle Wilson at Highbury Stadium.

Kyle, a 22 year old forward who is comfortable playing through the centre or down either flank, is a former youth international who started his career with Crewe Alexandra where he was a reserve team regular. Following time at Altrincham and Wrexham, he joined Barrow in the summer of 2006 only to suffer a season long cruciate ligament injury. Regaining form and fitness this season, he left Barrow in November following the dismissal of his father as manager. He moved to Witton Albion, on a non-contract basis, from where he now joins Fleetwood.

Moving in the opposite direction is Johnathan Smith. Smith, whose time at Fleetwood has been blighted by injury, is now recovering from surgery and joins Clitheroe on one month’s loan where he can command regular football and regain his match fitness.

Is the Fleetwood v Gateshead match still on tonight ? Can anyone keep us to date with the latest score?

OK Thanks

I wish Kyle all the best for the 2008/9 season but an absolutely dreadful remainder to this season!!! Interesting we should let the player go to our nearest rivals but maybe that is tactical!!!

No disrespect to the lad but I’d rather he was playing for them then us.

As he was non-contract then it is out of our hands where he goes to, providing Fleetwood put 7 days notice in.

He was a useful player for us, steady if unspectacular. Those who made the trip to Frickley will appreciate the hard work he put in when required.

We have better players in the squad, but thanks to Kyle for his contribution.[br]Posted on: January 16, 2008, 07:58:13 AM

Now forgive my mis-understanding of the English language, but ‘moving in the opposite direction’? Would that phrase not mean the ‘opposite direction’ to Wilson, and therefore moving to Witton?!

For cod’s sake, get it right!

Like I said in another post, his goals could be crucial come the end of the season. Let’s just hope he doesn’t score many for the Cods.
