The second Football Quiz now has a date, and will be held in the Social Club on Thursday 29th August from 7.30pm.
The quiz is just a bit of fun to get people into the club, and they’ll be some tough questions, and some less tough questions. A great chance to pit your wits against fellow Wittoners.
Entry will be a pound a head, and all this money will go back into the prize pool to be split between the top 3 teams. In reality, winning this competition will not change your life, but it should be enough to buy a round from YOUR expertly stocked social club bar, all the while having a bit of fun.
The questions are almost complete, and like last time, there will be a real headscratcher ‘table’ round to get the grey matter working. 10 Uruguayans to play in the Premier League? Can you name them? The headscratcher round will be along those lines.
Have I mentioned it will be fun? Because it will be. So WHS, it doesn’t matter that your post 1966 football knowledge is rubbish, because you never know, there may well be a question about Knutsford Dynamo Charterhouse’s 1958/59 title winning captain who defected to Sandbach Ramblers in a shocking turn of events, just for you, and if you don’t win, you will have FUN, and hopefully spend some money on a pint of mild and a packet of pork scratchings 
Please do feel free to get a team together, but like last time if anyone just turns up on their own, they can play alone or join a scratch team on the night.
This isn’t a massive moneyspinner, but gets people into the club, buying a few beers. If 50 people come down and buy a pint each, and have FUN, Witton WIN. And when Witton WIN, we are all happy :goal
