Forcast

I seem to remember forcsating that Witton would again chase promotion and Vics would face relegation and getting told off by both Vics and Wiiton fans for giving an opinion. I also remember being roundly told off for saying that the games in this league lacjed atmosphere, I see that some people now agree with me. I have stayed away from Witton and this site as I don’t seem to be wanted at either but I still wish Witton and its supporters all the best and better luck this year in getting out of this "God Awful" League.
WHS.
No replies please, this is my last post.

What you actually said that upset people on here WHS was that it was a ‘chore’ watching Witton, a view that you will never get agreed with while we play the style of football we do at whatever level

Picko, WHS asked for no replies, please show a little more respect ;D

BTW if anyone does want to see the lack of atmosphere at games watch the FREE coverage of the Ilkeston game on the Unibond site - our supporters were so loud in the second half the commentator keeps mentioning us!

PS; There is an ‘e’ in forecast.

PPS; This is not reply, I was just telling Picko off for replying and linking to the clip from Saturday.

PPPS; You’re always wanted at Wincham Park, we exclude no one from watching or from posting on the site. If you are staying away it is through personal choice and is despite the fact that we are top of this "God Awful" League.

PPPPS; Would you prefer to watch us playing at the bottom of the Conference? We need to be careful, the entertainment levels will probably drop if/when we go up, in contrast some of the football at the moment is awesome not awful.

PPPPPS; Just realised this has turned into a reply - doh!

Whoops :-X

I’m going to reply to Rabbit…

If you love your club you go and watch them at whatever level they are playing at. If you take a look at Vics website at the moment, alot of their fans are bracing themselves for ending up dropping down to the level of Barnton and Lostock - but they are still going to go and follow their team. Telford dropped out of the conference, but look where they are now. Had their fans deserted them because they were playing in a ‘god awful’ league, or refused to follow them because the atmosphere at matches was not to their liking, then i can guarantee that they would still be playing at a level below us.

We ALL want to be playing at a higher level, but to acheive that we all need to give the team all the support that we can. This includes attending matches. Imagine how little atmosphere there would be at WP if another 100 people decided they weren’t coming to matches?!

If you care about YOUR CLUB then you follow them regardless of what league they are in and how many away fans travel to follow their team.

PS - yes people are saying the atmosphere isn’t what it was last year, but at least they are saying this from experience… ie; they are still attending games regardless of the atmosphere…

In replying to Robbo, I note that a previous correspondent had referred to this ‘god awful league’.

It is at this level that we have been operating for as long as I can remember . Bar a few unaffordable seasons in the Conference.

We were in the Cheshire League and then the NPL(mainly mid table) for the last 30 years or so.

Therefore a SUPPORTER would acknowledge this and SUPPORT accordingly. That isn’t to say that I lack ambition, but more to do with accepting reality.

I’m sure the supporters of Nantwich, Winsford, Ellesmere Port, Oswestry etc who used to be some of our principal rivals in the not too distant past would love to be in ‘this god awful league’.

Yep they’ve lost their identity and independence in the meantime, and even worse have to play their football in a different country.

Get your ar*e down to WP tonight WHS

Don’t be late. I’m on the gate

PS Is there an "e" in foreplay ?

I you had an "e" i’m sure foreplay would become much more interesting ;D
