Ruffer’s gone to Chester
Little sorry to see Carl Ruffer go but at his age he was never going to be one for the future. Decent signing for Chester.
As for Brad,he had his moments for us but never seemed completely committed.
Ruffer is another one that = ££££££
Don’t get me wrong I think he is a very good player and did well for us last year, however I think the £££££ were more important than the badge and we can probably afford three players for the money he was getting paid. Despite how well he played at the time he was signed I didn’t think we needed a centre half on that sort of money.
Chester are certainly splashing some cash, I bet they run with a budget of £3k a week in the north west counties, they should walk that league. This shows how unfair it is when clubs with big support go down and can reform. I wonder in part whether part of the punishment should be an inability to reapply in the directly following season, in other words should they not have to sit out a season?
They are not the same Club, they are Chester FC not Chester City just like Vics are Vics 2004 not Northwich Vics. By the way, I underdstand Vics next name will simply be “Scum Victoria” to avoid confusion.

Personally didnt rate ruffer, and if he was on big money even more so, however lets see who we do get in to replace him then we can start seeing if we are indeed moving forward, my view is we need to get pritch properly fit and bring in a pacy centre half to help him cover, if we keep mcallister then he was improving at full back and would be good so we are still looking for a centre half and a left full back for defence and maybe two strikers at least not going to be easy that ?
Wonder if Messi and Torres are available? If not Super Michael Moseley will do for me.

Picture of Rod Thornley with his England team mates in fridays Daily Mail, they have got him down as “masseur”. "there`s only one lazy b*****d "
After tonight’s performance he might be playing next week!!

Well he would certainly get in the England rugby team WHS !
We were playing one of the best sides in the World on their own turf not the USA!! It was also only a friendly and we learned a lot, not least that we have a pack to beat the best, we just need a scrum half, a stand off, and a centre for when our World Cup comes around next year. Our handling was poor at times, can we borrow Rob Green to show how NOT to do it!!

Just watching ‘A League Of Their Own’ (SKY 1 18:00). It was most probably a repeat, but it was great watching a clip of John Bishop scoring for Witton Albion
