Just watched highlights of Rhyl vs Liverpool U23 game Alex Titchener playing for Rhyl and scored a cracker ! and in goal for Liverpool Andy Firth who made a good save, Liverpool won 2-1.

Teenage striker George Miller, who came to Witton on loan from Bury last season and scored on his debut has joined Middlesbrough on a three year contract. The 18 year old came to The NetDec Stadium for a short spell by way of contacts through the club’s Director of Football Development John Salmon but returned to Gigg Lane where he made his way into the first team, scoring goals on a regular basis towards the end of last season.

Midfielder Jake Parker has begun Pre Season playing for 1874 Northwich.

Striker Mark Buchan has joined Hallmark Security League side Squires Gate after spending last season in the Welsh Premier League with Conwy Borough. The Blackpool - based club are managed by former Witton midfielder Danny Penswick.

Marine have released former Albion winger Jamie Menagh.

Jamie Menagh has joined Colwyn Bay.

Tolani Omotola has signed for Ramsbottom United.

Former Albion players in the news: Ben Mills & Chris Smith scored hat tricks yesterday for Whitchurch Alport and Barnton respectively. Neville Thompson was on target for Hanley Town, Michael Koral scored Winsford’s winner against Barnoldswick Town & Darren Chadwick received a straight red card in Leek Town 's defeat at new-boys Alvechurch. Karl Noon scored twice for City of Liverpool whilst another former Albion player on target was Josh Glover for Alsager Town.

Joel Brownhill added two more to his goal tally on Wednesday night as Ashton Athletic won 4-0 at AFC Darwen, Josh Glover scored for the second time in four days as Alsager Town won at Cheadle Town & Lee Cropper was on target for Kidsgrove Athletic in their draw with Chasetown.

Runcorn Linnets have signed former Witton Albion pair Rory Fallon & Adam Morning from Curzon Ashton and Colne FC respectively.

Former Witton striker Nathan Southern scored his 123rd goal for Crewe FC on Saturday in their 2-0 win against Linotype, after 12 seconds.

George Miller made his competitive debut for Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, as a substitute in their 2-0 win at Aston Village in the Carabao Cup. He has already found the net for the Under 23’s team.

Marine have released former Witton defender John Shaw.

Former Witton midfielder Tom Smith now playing for Conwy Borough, suffered a double break to his leg this afternoon during their home game against Holyhead Town.

From what I can remember, he made a few appearances for the first team as a substitute. Saw him play mostly for the reserves at that time.

He’s due to have surgery in the next few days in Ysbyty Gwynedd at Bangor.

I may be thinking of the wrong player.
