Frickley Athletic 2 Witton Albion 3.
Then Danny Andrews came close to a hat trick but his shot thumped against the woodwork.
Well done boys, a very valuable and much needed win!
Make that three places up the table. Nantwich scoring and us conceding late on made our goal differences level, and Nantwich have scored one more than Witton.
Matlock lost which means we are two points behind them with a game in hand.
I might be wrong but I’m guessing we are upto 17th now. Not all the results were in though when I checked.
One thing it does do is open a 10 point gap between ourselves & Marine.
Yes 18th on 42 points behind Matlock by 2 points, joint with Nantwich but lower on goals scored but crucially maybe a game in hand on both, certainly not safe yet but breathing a bit more easily, 8 points fom Sullys magical 50 points
