Friendly this Tuesday

Newcastle Town v Witton Albion 7.45pm.

GE

Battle of the league leaders!!! They are flying in the North West Counties recently!!!

Is this in doubt with the current weateher and forecast?

I am hoping this game is going ahead as it is practically a "home" match for me, living down here in North Staffs!

My worry is that Pritch plays tonight, and is then too tired to play on Saturday :o

just rung newcastle kev said match is on ko 7-30.
m6 jct 15 first r/b turn left 2nd r/b turn right ground at bottom.

Quick update;

Witton;
Ellison; Coo, Pritch, Barras, Brownhill; Brodie, Brown, A N Other, Drohan; Warlow, Evans

Warlow off for Rutter.

Currently Witton 3 - 0 up.
Barras
Warlow 2

Rutter brought down in the box, picks himself up to make it 4 - from the spot.

A N Other makes it 5 - 0.

Pritch is now apparently playing in goal…

A N Other makes it 6 - 0, whilst at the other end Pritch pulls off a fantastic double-save.

Finishes 6 - 0 with Witton now fielding a side made up mainly of reserves.

Has Pritch ever played in goal before (Chad?) or as it taken more than 600 appearances to work out we have been playing him in the wrong position all these years?

;D

it was worth going just to see pritch make a super save right at the end, not the double save but the one where he launched is self across goal and caught the ball in both hands.

i think he is to be our backup goalkeeper during games.

It only adds to his ‘Legend’ status!!!

Pritch pulled off a fantastic double save - the second whilst sliding out to an attacker. And to see him acrobatically catch the ball as a shot came across the goal - worth paying the £3 entrance fee itself!! :o
But even when it was mainly the reserves, with Pritch in goal, he was shouting at them, helping them along, keeping the team going - it was great to see.
A special mention to Alex Brown who thanked us for coming along - and who owned the midfield when he was on the pitch.
Barras was solid once again but also in fine comedy form - missed what his t-shirt said though.

just to fill in the ‘blanks’
