Further Agony For Tim as Saturday's match is abandoned

Just come across this on the official Cheshire League website. Score was 2-2 at the time of the match abandonment. Tim is having the most ghastly misfortune. He missed a good deal of last season when injured representing Cheshire and now this.

Really hope he recovers in double quick time and that he can continue what, from when I’ve seen him, looks to be a promising career with Witton.

"The most dramatic game of the day was played between Witton Albion Reserves and Poynton as Witton took an early lead through Dean Williams, Poynton equalised in the 14th minute only to have it cancelled out when Tim Drohan scored Witton’s second a minute later. The sides battled it out and Poynton, desperate to claim their first points of the season equalised again in the 53rd minute. Disaster then struck in the 82nd as a challenge saw Tim Drohan suffer a suspected broken ankle in the penalty area, leaving the referee no option but to abandon the game."

Just a plea to anyone connected with the Reserves - Please can someone post details of what is going on with the team on this site. There is also the "Albion Review" match programme platform available to let Witton supporters etc know what’s happening with what is an integral part of the club.

All the best to Tim, I hope his recovery is quick and without complications.
