Future

I feel that this “town” or even village the two stadiums are located in simply cannot sustain two football clubs with seperate stdiums. How can we go on with this when between us we barely get over 1000 people. The main problem is Vics stadium because with gates of 500-600 that can’t pay the stadium rent. So, surely the only way forward is a groundshare at Wincham park. I also know that the land your stadium is situated in is worth a lot more than Vics land.

Vics need more than a stadium deal tied up by Rushy, all that will do is avoid the inevitable. So in my opinion it’s a groundshare or at very worse the possibility of the clubs merging and playing at say NWCL or Unibond 1. I fear that if something is done quickly one of the clubs will die and it’s worryingly looking like Vics! So I feel it would be of benefit if Witton started doing sponsored walks to games just like we did to Alty and are organising to do to Wrexham. I would be prepared to support a reformed Northwich because plans and cash is being put into place incase we have to reform as AFC Northwich Victoria. But I would much rather support a club with 130 odd years of history consisting of things like forming the BSP,the trophies we’ve won and all those great vics players and memories. We diehard fans of Vics and Witton cannot let the town’s football clubs die.

In a word, no.

Shall we get hima sandwich board and let Tricky parade through the streets of the town proclaiming “the end of the world is nigh”

Tricky, listen, I’m sure at college there are lots of pretty girls to be chased, thats what most teenage lads do, go and waste your raging hormones on them and leave us in peace!!

Why should Witton even consider merging? or groundsharing? we own our own land, our players are paid up to date we don’t owe the taxman and as far as I know we are paying past debts honestly (not like Vics did) The reason Witton are still playing in the unibond and to be honest struggling a little this year is because we live within our means, we cannot afford to pay top wages so we don’t, simple! The town is fed up of Vics learching from one crisis to the next because they insist they are a big club and try to live way beyond thier means then start crying when once again it all goes pearshaped. The supporters make me laugh at the moment calling Connett all the names under the sun for doing exactly what the club have been doing for years, getting into massive debt and then not being able to pay people.

Well said BIGBOB. As I have posted elsewhere Tricky please go away in jerking motions.

Put a sock in it Tricky.
I know where you can get some green and white ones for around £20 a pair.

Big bob you are spot on with your analysis of our financial objectives/progress.
Tricky - we have no intention of letting our club die, it will not happen.

Plural of stadium is stadia.
Plural of Tricky doesn’t bear thinking about.

Hmmm…this one could run and run. A collective noun for a group of Trickies?

How about…
An Administration of Trickies or,
A Bankruptcy of Trickies or,
A Connett of Trickies or,
A Darkness of Trickies or,
A Destitute of Trickies…

Over to you guys

This is how bad things are at Vics. Some of are players haven’t been paid for two months and were meant to be a professional club. I find that disgusting and would question where the seven grand has gone from various fundraising events such as the sponsored walk to Alty.

I have to credit Steve King though. Not many teams would put as much effort into a game like we did on Saturday considering they didn’t have to play. That shows them players love this club or are simply passionate about playing football. I’m not sure that all your disloyal “stars” of last season such as Warlow, Peers, Brown and Brownhill would even have played without getting paid.

Northwich Victoria are a credit to football, the players were heroic on Saturday and the fans sung as loud as you can get. That’s what I call a proper football club, we still managed a bigger gate than you get an average at Alty’s ground. Due to all the turmoil at our club concerning TOADFACE locking the stadium, players not being paid and Vics and TOADFACE due for court we even had a 4 minute news clip on North West Tonight on Sat if any of you saw it. So the future of the Vics really does count for everything! Bring on Weymouth and Wrexham!

I’m all in favour of free speech, but I think it’s time somebody did a Brian Edge.

Well Tricky, we have put up with your mindless meanderings and had a bit of sport with your drivel, but it’s time to put a stop to things especially when you say “Northwich Victoria are a credit to football”

Or is your choice of words pure genius! Credit being the key word. I wonder of all of your “creditors” down the years agree with you.

You truly are a numpty and in a world of your own!

A Numpty of Trickies anyone?

How many clubs do you know who will play with the desire and effort Vics players put in on Saturday. Football really is a money dominated business so to play for none shows football hasn’t died in the lower leagues. Obviously people see me as a fool, goodness knows what I’ve said but I’m off now - no more posting!

My Saturday team do and we pay £3 to play . . .

Be off with you boy!!

There are thousands of clubs with players who have to pay to play football on a saturday and sunday. Many of them play with more desire than most professional footballers. There are thousands of people who give up their free time to run football clubs for no pay. Also there are thousands of people who give up their time to referee. So don’t give me this crap about the Vics giving there all. Because most of the Vics players have gone there for the money they are expecting to be paid and some of the players were probably trying their hardest to get a transfer away from the Vics.

Well said C.Alty.

I don’t think many of them clubs find themselves in the postion we are in! How many of them clubs your talking about have been locked out of their own ground, have an evil tennant and have had their kits locked up in the stadium. All that with the small matter of going bust on Jan 28th and a court hearing for Mugabe. Considering that endless list of things we were heroic on Sat, go on the Histon forum and ask their fans. Burton have already said to us that were the best club they’ve played this season home and away! So don’t give me that toss.

Also many of them players out there were new signings, do you really think they want to leave the club straight after coming? Well how come are centre back Steve Robinson and Goalkeeper Ryan Clarke have signed 18 month contracts then, they’ve obviously been told we have a future and are obviously dedicated to the Vics. So don’t say anything about the club I support when you don’t know anything yourself yet again!

Have a read.

Vics 1 Histon 2: Stutes mug heroic Northwich

JOSH Simpson’s stoppage time winner helped Histon head home with a swag bag filled with three points.

The Stutes scored twice in eight added minutes to steal a victory their dreadful display ill-deserved.

Nat Knight-Percival’s 94th minute header cancelled out 10-man Vics’ first half opener.

The ‘hosts’, playing at Altrincham’s Moss Lane after being locked out of the Marston’s Arena earlier this week, hit the front on the quarter hour.

Debutant Lee Elam cleverly picked out Matty Crowell from a corner, the Welshman guiding home on the volley.

Ryan Brown was then harshly sent off for a robust challenge on Histon full back Lanre Oyebanjo, leaving Vics to defend their slender lead.

They did with no little spirit or desire until injury time, added on after Scott Tynan left the pitch on a stretcher with suspected knee ligament damage.

But Steve Fallon’s FA Cup heroes had the last laugh to hang on to second spot in the standings.

Vics remain rooted to the bottom.

This is what King had to say about Histon.

King was unimpressed on all levels with Histon.

“If they are a top two side then that’s worrying,” he said.

“They play percentages, percentages, percentages and you have to deal with it – I felt we did that for so long.

“[Histon manager] Steve Fallon was embarrassed shaking my hand at the end, but then that’s the fine dividing line between the top and the bottom isn’t it?”

Tricky - why don’t u ring 01606 43211 ?
