Witton look to continue their excellent form when they travel to Gainsborough Trinity in a Northern Premier League fixture on Saturday afternoon.
Two wins and two clean sheets in home victories against Basford United and Scarborough Athletic respectively, have lifted Albion to third in the table after a difficult start to the season has given them renewed confidence ahead of what is anoth tough encounter.
Trinity currently sit in tenth position in the league having only played three league games so far but, have put five past Whitby Town in the process so Witton are well aware of the challenge facing them.
Last season’s meetings saw the points shared between the two, with Gainsborough coming out on top in Lincolnshire whilst the departed Liam Goulding’s goal settled the game at Wincham Park in Albion’s favour.
Trinity have a mix of youth and experience in their squad assembled by manager Curtis Woodhouse, and striker Ross Hannah will need watching closely as he is always capable of goals but then Witton have players of their own who are also more than capable of making their mark.
Kick Off at The Gainsborough Martin & Co Arena is 3pm.
