Gainsborough Trinity vs Witton Albion.

Two familiar names amongst the Gainsborough Trinity substitutes - Charlie Jemson, son of former Nottingham Forest striker Nigel & Jock Curran’s dad is former Everton, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Doncaster Rovers, Hull City, Grimsby Town, Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town, Southampton & Sheffield Wednesday winger Terry Curran.

From what I’ve heard decent point away from home considering the journey the lads had and a very short warm up due to traffic problems. 3 debuts, 4 “regulars” not starting and an injury to Rob Hopley after half an hour, hopefully Rob’s injury not to bad and he’s available again soon .

A decent crowd on Tuesday to get behind the lads and kick on and get a win .

The team we put out on Saturday had 4 of the back 5 - 24 years old or under. An 18 year old in midfield (JJ) and 2 teenagers on the bench along with Danny who is only 23. So despite all I read and heard from the Gainsborough side of things we haven’t got an ageing squad. UTA.
