Getting to the ground

Hey

Looking to come down on Thursday for the Bay against you.

Could anybody tell me how to get to the stadium via public transport? Trains & taxi numbers would be appreciated

Although a Bay fan I live in Altrincham so not too far away

Any help would be greatfully appreciated

Also, is the club shop open on the day? Would like a Witton Badge!

Cheers

Rhys

From Alty your best bet is a train to Northwich station. Taxi to the ground from there would only be a few quid i expect.

It’s walkable, but not in the rain!!

Rhys,
I can pick you up at Northwich Station around 7-15 pm and return you to the station after the game, let me know if that will help.

You do realise he wants a lift to Witton, and not cricket/theatre/bowls/paris etc etc etc??

Thanks for the offer!

I’m probably going straight from work, so 7:15 would be a little late for me, but I may take you up on the offer after the game. Will need to work out trains back to Alty & let you know

:cheer: There’s trains from Altrincham to Northwich at the following times…

Depart Altrincham 1735, arrive Northwich 1801
Depart Altrincham 1814, arrive Northwich 1840
Depart Altrincham 1846, arrive Northwich 1912

On the way back, the choices are a little more limited.

Depart Northwich 2137, arrive Altrincham 2204
Depart Northwich 2317, arrive Altrincham 2344

Return train fare is £6.60. If walking, allow about 20-30 minutes from Northwich railway station for the mile and a bit to the ground, obviously depending on how fast you walk.

Robbo, I have apoligised many times for “having a life” aside from supporting Witton so can you let it drop please? I explain here why I don’t go to a game so people don’t think I’m dead!!

In fairness WHS I laughed! I wouldn’t be too sensitive, anyway it’s not like you’ll see Robbo pay to watch a game pre-season, he’s too tight!

I will get to a game once the International Tiddlywinks Championships are over. Well, unless England make the latter stages of the European Draughts Tournament.

Tiidleywinks? Draughts? Too high brow for me, I prefer games for REAL men.
