Glossop North End vs Witton Albion (ILC1).

Witton travel to the Peak District on Tuesday evening as they take on Glossop North End in the First Round of the Integro League Cup. The Derbyshire club are currently enjoying a very good season and are sitting at the top of the Evo-Stik Division One North table. The fixture gives Witton the chance to meet up with more players who have donned the red & white stripes in the recent past namely, Goalkeeper Matt Cooper, defender Sam Barnes & Glossop’s leading marksman Jamie Rainford. The game gives both teams the chance to progress in another Cup competition but both have ambitions of promotion from their respective divisions although that is put to one side for the time being. Witton will be looking to continue their promising start to the campaign and Glossop will also be hoping to keep up their recent good form. Kick off at Surrey Street is 7.45pm.

Glossop referring to us as “Cup whizzes” on their Twitter feed this morning.

chance to give the fringe players a run out. Saturday more important IMO.

Nothing like a winning run though to build confidence.
WHS.

We should definitely give the squad who havent played too much a run out anyone with a slight knock or a bit fatigued should have rest in my book, if we lose then so be it good luck to the lad anyway UTA
