Witton’s U21’s Development Squad are in league action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Glossop North End in a North West U21 Development League Premier Division fixture. Witton’s form hasn’t been the best during their campaign so far but performances have shown some improvement in recent weeks, particularly in their last outing when they were unlucky to lose a close game to Stockport Town. Glossop have had a horrendous start to their league programme where they find themselves bottom of the table without a point after nine games and they have also been shipping goals with alarming regularity. However Witton can only focus on the job in hand and not on what has gone before, as teams in Glossop’s situation are the ones which usually give you the most problems as they are fighting for their lives. So Witton can’t take anything for granted with this game, they still have to approach the game in the right manner and prepare properly. The game is being played on the 3G facility at Alder Community High School in Hyde with a 2pm kick off.
