Glossop North End vs Witton Albion.

Saturday sees Witton make the trip to The Peak District to take on new-boys Glossop North End in a First Division North fixture. The Hillmen enjoyed a very successful season last time out, culminating in being crowned North West Counties League Premier Division Champions and also reached the FA Vase Final, where they were narrowly beaten by North Shields. They have also made a very impressive start to this season’s campaign and currently sit near the top end of the table at this early stage. The fixture will also allow Witton fans and Club officials to meet up with some familiar faces once again as Glossop manager Chris Wilcock and current players: Michael Bowler, Keiran Lugsden, Ashley Stott & Jamie Rainford all spent time at Wincham Park. The fixture at Surrey Street is a 3pm kick off.

I thought I had corrected it.

Good Luck boys, its a big game already this one, one point from the last nine and that was snatched late on, so we need to get some points on the board to stay in contention early on.

Stotty (a class act) will have a point to prove and we’ll have to be on our game to get a win over there.

Yes will be another tough one and we need to start firing on all cylinders sooner rather than later ? start 11 will be interesting think its Gary Roberts last game before suspension ? will be there shouting them on hope we get a good following Glossop get decent gates and Chris Wilcox has them well organised. Yes, Gary’s last appearance for three games tomorrow. At this stage, he misses Drolsden, Farsley & Kendal. If the Cup game is drawn, I would imagine he would miss any replay but would then be available for the Kendal game.

My first away game of the season tomorrow so I can’t wait!
It’s definitely going to be a tough game but I’m confident we’ll get something out of it.
