Grantham Town vs Witton Albion.

Witton travel to promotion-hopefuls Grantham Town on Saturday afternoon in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. The Gingerbreads have enjoyed an excellent season so far and currently trail leaders Altrincham by seven points but have played a game more. Their form has been consistent and the goals of joint leading goalscorer in the division, Lee Shaw has had a major bearing on that. The club have also added to their squad in recent days with the signing of former Lincoln United forward Jack McGovern who is also a proven scorer, particularly at Evo-Stik South level. Witton go into the game four points adrift of Warrington Town following last weekend 's victory over neighbours Nantwich Town and can now look forward to selecting from a near full-strength squad, which must surely help in the weeks ahead. The form of strikers Rob Hopley and Steven Tames has been a major factor in Witton’s progression in the top flight, along with that of Will Jones, but the whole squad have pulled together through a very tough period. Grantham will be looking to keep the pressure up on Altrincham at the top and go into the game in search of the double, following their success at The NetDec Stadium earlier in the season. They seem to have a very good record at Witton but then Albion’s form at Grantham is not too bad either over the years. With so many in form players on show, it could turn out to be an entertaining game but then who knows what we can expect. Kick off at South Kesteven Sports Stadium is 3pm.

Clearly a tough one at Grantham who beat us in a close game at Wincham Park, for mr if everyone is fully fit I would go with :

Hare
Gardner Humphreys WIlson Devine
Dale Owens Haywood Foley
Hopley Tames

Leaving a pretty strong bench the best we have had for years, and I will go with a 1-1 draw UTA
