The worlds joint greatest footballer leads his country to the World Cup Finals.Fair play to the AFA,Diego has been subjected to some horrendous pressure but they have let the dust settle and made the correct decision.Do not be surprised if he leads them all the way to the final.
I do admire the Hespanic ways of conducting business. They appoint their man and stick by him, come hell and high water. They map out their plan and stand by it.Here in dear old Blighty,we could certainly learn a thing or two.
The other greatest footballer on earth,Eric Cantona.Even WHS would agree.
Strangely I agree that Maradona was the World’s greatest footballer for a time, better thatn Pele as he won a World Cup basically single “handed” in 1986.WE remember other members of the great Brazilian teams but none of the Argentinain team that won in 1986.
My personal top five would be, Pele, Maradona, Best, Cruyff and Beckenbeuar. None from the England 1966 team but Moore and Charlton were very close.

Sorry Lutkie but I don’t think many people will remeber either of them the way they remember Garrincha,Didi, Vava, Rivallino, Tostao, Carlos Alberto, Gerson, Jaizinho and Edu etc etc.
