Hanley Town v. Witton Albion

Witton travel to Staffordshire on Tuesday night to take on Hanley Town in a re arranged Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

The original fixture was postponed due to snow and now takes place in a spell of three games against teams also in a similar position at the lower end of the table.

Hanley go into the game currently second from the bottom of the table and with only one league win since August, a 3-1 success against Wythenshawe FC.

Witton go into the game looking for their first away win since beating Newcastle Town in October and their first league goal in four games.

The management team have acted and are trying to address the lack of goals with the loan signing of teenage striker Adam Watson from Championship side Stoke City.

The 18 year old has played international football for New Zealand at Under 17 level and scored their only goal in the Under 17s World Cup in Indonesia.

The next three games are pivotal to Witton’s bid to climb away from the relegation zone but they can’t and won’t look any further than the game in front of them.

Kick off at the Afford Rent-A-Car Stadium is 7.45pm.
