Now everyone’s had chance to draw breath after the playoffs, we need to turn our attention to next season. There’s lots to do at Wincham Park including pitch renovations, painting, cleaning and generally getting the ground spick and span for next season. Anyone with an hour to spare would be most welcome. Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10 am and Sunday afternoons with Sprucie from 2 pm are the main slots, but others can be arranged !! As the saying goes " come on down ! ".
Any assistance and support would be really appreciated. Thanks
Echo that cry for help, lots to do this close season as ever and any help would be greatly appreciated, you can choose to help in many ways such as helping on the pitch maintenance, no real skills required, painting/preparation on the ground and also on any general DIY jobs around the ground and in the changing areas etc, regular Tues/Thurs 10-13.00 pm and Sunday as suggested if any group could help outside these hours I am sure we could accommodate any request. Hi, I am going to come over quite a few weekends after next weekend. Can we do a volunteers weekend where people can come up at any point on a Saturday and Sunday one week? I am happy to transport a few people if they are stuck (Callum Bradke has offered to come over from Crewe to help so I am picking him up and dropping him off) and I would also put on some sandwiches and things too. I was thinking maybe the weekend after the May bank holiday? Its difficult on a Tues and Thurs when the majority are in work so weekends are pretty vital. Do people think that this “volunteers weekend” is a good idea? If so I’m happy to promote it . . . . .
Hi Jo, dont see why we couldnt look at that if enough volunteered and we had the work and materials all planned out, and We appreciate it isnt easy when people have jobs and families every little helps, even if we focused on one big job like painting the metal fence surround.
I can help some weekends and I think a volunteers weekend is a good idea. We could get quite a bit done if there is enough of us. UTA
Brilliant stuff. The weather forecast is pretty grim for most of June but it could change over time so I will start the planning and start promoting . . . 3rd and 4th June to be first scheduled volunteers weekend.
We have had a wonderful season now we have to “EARN” another one. Everyone who can should come along, many hands make light work as they say!!
