I am currently in the process of converting old Witton footage that is currently on VHS onto DVD to possibly sell to raise funds for the fund.

I have started with the full Bolton game and will add on whatever else I can, Copyright permitting.

However , I need a hand with designing a cover for the DVD case. If there is anyone who is good at computerised graphics and they are willing to have a go at designing a professional looking cover ( when I have all of the details to go on it ) would they please let me know?

It may sound stange but the 1st thought I had then was of a video I have of when Witton beat Droylsden 4-0 at Droylsden in 1997 when we were both chasing the Unibond 1 championship! Topical I thought!

Bit off topic but sorry Dawn I’m useless with grapics!

I’ll do it for you Dawn if you need me to, I can help you with the transfer to DVD if it helps. My company sells video capture and encoding equipment.

Give me a bell if you need anything. I have one or two bits on this week but I can sort something for you thereafter.

I’ve done the VHS to DVD transfer bit, but it depends on if you can do it with better quality. Can you help with the cover too?

I have some old footage on VHS if you need it.

a) The last few minutes of the final game in 1991, when Witton wo the HFS Loans league, and the presentation of the trophy.

b) Loads of footage of the 1992 Wembley weekend. Mark Harris was the comentator of the official video, but I have loads of unofficial footage.

I think that this is an excellent idea, and all of the above footage needs to be included! Will there also be footage of your old hairstyle Dawn?! That would make it a collectors item. :laugh:

What a great idea and I am sure this would be a big seller! I never saw the Bolton game so would be fantastic to get a copy of this!

I also remember the Droylsden game well 2 of the best goals I have ever seen in a game of football, Darren Washington’s bicycle kick from the edge of the area and then his cheeky back heel at the near post! Fantastic memmories!!! Put me down for a copy of both of those!

great to know that people think this is a good idea - although I do have ’ editorial license ’ and will be using it to the full to ensure all footage of me and my 80’s hairstyle is completely cut.

Great idea, I think a lot of people would buy a copy anyway i certainly would as i have not seen many of the older gamesB) , ive only seen the FA Trophy final and the semi-final against marine.

Dawn perhaps you should put the ‘hair’ footage in the Director’s cut so to speak!
