Quite agree, Neil. And yes, I did feel the sending off was harsh - that’s mainly what I meant when I said that not all the ref’s bad decisions were in Hucknall’s favour!
Never mind, that’s all over, looking forward to Tuesday, let’s show them what Witton Albion is really all about!!
Great support on sat lots of noise, took my son(13) and he loved it, he reckons witton play just like arsenel and enjoyed it more than watchin his beloved man utd! he has even made a witton team on pro evo 8 As for the singing of s**t ground no fans would it be acceptable to sing nice ground and lots of fans instead ;D good luck tonight boys hope to see u all at frickley and i shall be comin to wincham early jan and hopefully make a night of it if anyone can put me up(tracy hopefully :
A controversial match marred by very poor refereeing decisons for both sides. The Warlow goal should have stood we all know that and fortunately from what GE said Saturday we will have a different ref tonight. Thought we played well Saturday but not as well as in recent weeks. Whether this was due to better standard opposition than normal I don’t know but I thought we were a little predicatable at times with too many balls in the air which their defence was able to defend. When we played it on the deck we seemed to have the beating of them. It was obvious we were the better footballing team with them playing route one football banging it up to their front players at every opportunity.
It won’t be easy tonight because I don’t think now we will be considered the underdogs. We are at home and our pitch is better than theirs so we need to ensure we are tight at the back, patient, keep running off the ball into space and keep in on the deck more and hopefully we will win. We need our big players to come to the fore tonight perhaps more than they did Saturday. I think whatever that this will be a tight game. C’mon our lads we are almost there and its a home draw next we can do this if we play to our normal potential.
Just an aside Cheshire FM was brilliant this morning when I was on my way to work at 8 pm. The DJ mentioned in passing Man Utd playing Lisbon and then went on to talk about Witton Albion at home tonight in the FA trophy kick off at quarter to eight. He urged the Northwich public to get down to Wincham Park and support the team. Brilliant! great plug for us, keep it up Cheshire FM.
