Hyde United gone, along with 3 others

http://www.hydeunited.com/league/News/board230909.html

We heard last night about this before the board meeting, Jeff looked it up on the net and apparently 3 other clubs were wound up yesterday too but off the top of my head I can’t remember who

One of them was Bromsgrove Rovers

And vic’s are still trying to get away with paying 35p in the £!!!

A total of six football clubs listed for winding up proceedings yesterday;

Vics meanwhile probably went out and signed another 2 or 3 goalkeepers to boost their squad, which I believe is about 29 players or something daft at the moment!!!

It makes no sense, they can just do what they like spend what they like wheras other clubs get punished I don’t get it

As regards Hyde United, was the problem that they signed players on contracts last season on the basis of a playing budget which was being supported by a benefactor who then subsequently withdrew their funding?

(Not like that’s ever happened anywhere else before?) :blink:

I see Vinnie Jones Enterprises were in front of High court as well.

I believe Hyde United are going to try and appeal against there winding up order. They have 7 days in which to do so. They have some money to pay towards the bill, but are short by £35,000, which they hope to raise by Monday at the latest.

good luck to them, i hope they survive for their fans sake.
i hope they learn that the taxman comes first, and players wages second.

Not if you are Northwich Victoria!!!
