After a very poor first half where we created nothing but gave away a poor penalty! The second half with Mwasile on in place of the dissapointing Dowling, it started to open up the game for Witton and we created more chances whilst still looking wide open at the back.

On losing Hopley with what looked like a bad rib injury hope seemed lost however we managed to get back into the game and indeed take the lead, but it always felt like we would concede again because we were so lightweight in the challenges. It felt inevitable that we would lose once Hyde equalised following poor defending again.

We were unlucky in one respect Hyde’s number 7 should have seen red for violent conduct after a challenge by Foley at 2- 2 but, only got a yellow card!

It is really hard to see us winning again, spirit seems low and the squad is too lightweight to compete even against a pretty poor Hyde side. Roll on next season.

C.J., first half there were 3 or 4 Witton players who were very very poor and didn’t look interested, they pulled out of challenges gave so many simple passes away it got beyond a joke. Hopley, Lawrie, Foley, Mwasile and Wardle were the only outfield players who looked interested.

Agreed, the Hyde number 7 should have seen red but that wouldn’t have changed the outcome. Still not over, 27 points to play for but a better attitude needed by some players.

1st half was a shocker and if you could sub 4 players you would have (if we had anything on the bench). Whether we stay up or go down you would not keep many of this squad and if we go down, then the good players might leave anyway.

Not a great time but let’s hope there is light at the end of the tunnel.
