Hyde United vs Witton Albion.

Witton look to continue their excellent away form on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Hyde United in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. The Tigers are currently sitting in tenth place in the table and their home record is almost identical to Witton’s away from Wincham Park. The two sides played out a 1-1 draw earlier in the season but things could’ve been so much better for Albion, had leading goalscorer James Foley been able to convert from the spot but unfortunately on that occasion it wasn’t to be. Hyde gained promotion from Evo-Stik League North as it was then, at the end of last season finishing third behind South Shields and Scarborough Athletic having gone through the whole season without losing a league game at Ewen Fields. Their promotion being due to them having the best playing record within the three feeder leagues as the pyramid was re-organised. Witton’s away record is good and Saturday’s game presents another tough challenge for them for which they will need to be at their best, if they are to get the desired result. Kick off at Ewen Fields is 3pm.

Always enjoy a trip to Hyde good old non league club, team wise I think we will go with same team that beat Matlock narrowly and given no injuries or illness or new signings ! We could come home with 3 points but I will go for a 1-1 draw UTA

I’ve never been there so I’m looking forward to it.

Been there a number of times but mostly in our Cheshire League days.
