Ian Latham

Ian signed for Marine yesterday :-/

Just wanted to wish Lacey (Laths) all the best for the future and thank him for the contribution he has made towards Witton Albion.

I would also like to say before people come on here banging on about keeping good players at the club and not letting them go then remember, there are two sides to every story.

The club is not going to stand in a players way if they make a decision to leave the club, it never has nor ever will it. There is no point keeping players who do not want to play for Witton, what possible benefit would the club get from doing so?
Players and managers naturally leave football clubs (usually after a relative short period of time!), it is part and parcel of the game.

In the last few weeks we have lost several players who have opted to leave the club. Several new players have come into the team and considering it takes time for a new team to gell i think we have done quite well.

The players aren’t daft, we all read the comments on here, all we ask for is your support whenever we are playing.
Just found this on the Non League site…

Colwyn Bay won 2-0 at home to Warrington Town, thanks to goals from Steve Burton in stoppage time to add to a 68th minute own goal by Warrington debutant Ian Latham

But its not the same Ian Lathom as Drew said he signed for Marine yesterday and came on as a sub for them. The Marine team last night had 4 ex Witton players in it

Marine team: Andy Ralph; Neil Murphy; Lee Mullin; Adam Farley; James Connolly; Darren Brookfield; Carl Nesbitt (Gavin Lynch 78); Lee Parle; Carl Rendell; Ged Courtney (Robbie Moore 74); Paul Byrne (Ian Latham 63).
